Another one for the “We need to double check our sources” files: NBC Reporter Retracts Trump/Kennedy Deal for Kavanaugh Claim!

It turns out that an NBC reporter went public and then retracted her story.   Follow her tweets:

Am I  the only one who thinks that there are too many reporters jumping the gun?  Also, how does this lady keep her job?

NATO we have a “dues” problem!

Poll idea:  Ask the parents of US soldiers what they think of their sons defending countries that don’t meet their defense obligations…..wonder what they think of that?

The NY Times has just posted this:

Only four countries met the target in 2017, according to NATO — the U.S. at 3.57%, Britain at 2.1% percent, Greece at 2.38% and Estonia at 2.1%. This year, Latvia is likely to achieve the 2% target, according to NATO estimates.
Poland, Romania and Lithuania are likely to meet the goal soon. But many of NATO’s biggest countries still fall short. Germany, with the second-biggest economy in the alliance, spends 1.24% of its GDP on its armed forces. France spends 1.81% and Turkey spends 1.68%.
Excluding the U.S., total military spending by NATO members has increased modestly in recent years, from $272 billion in 2014 to an estimated $312 billion this year — or less than half the U.S. defense budget. But only 16 allies are “on track” to meet the 2% target by 2024, according to Kay Bailey Hutchison, the U.S. ambassador to NATO and a Trump appointee.

A heartbeat calling on the mother to get a second opinion

leave a comment »

The Democrats have decided to defend Roe v. Wade at all costs, including unleashing the party’s most radical faces, slogans, and rhetoric. One example of the latter is the claim that Judge Brett Kavanaugh will threaten “reproductive rights.”  Seriously, abortion is a reproductive right?

We saw some of this leftist madness last night and it’s only going to get worse. As in everything, their irrational reaction will backfire because most Americans reject that kind of language and talk.

No matter what happens with Judge Kavanaugh — and I believe that he will wearing a black robe by October — the problem with Roe v. Wade is technology. In other words, we know a lot more about that today’s babies that my mother knew about me or what I knew when my wife said she was pregnant.

The left’s biggest threat is that baby’s heartbeat — that little sound that confirms that there is something living inside the mother’s body, as Thomas Moore wrote

The baby’s heart starts to beat at around 6 weeks. You may be able to hear – and see – your baby’s heart beat for the first time when you’re about 8 weeks pregnant if you have an early ultrasound exam.

Otherwise, you’ll probably first hear it with a fetal Doppler at a regular prenatal care visit. Your caregiver may be able to find it with the Doppler as early as 10 weeks, but it’s more common to hear it at 12 weeks. How early the sound can be picked up depends on your baby’s position in your uterus, your weight, and the accuracy of your due date.

So it’s not the Bible or the religious right that wants to take us “back to back-alley abortions,” but medical technology invented by the same millennial generation that gave us stuff like YouTube, that confirms that there is a life or a heartbeat inside the mother.

Thanks to technology, we know it’s a baby with a heartbeat. Therefore, the “it’s my body” argument now has a little heartbeat calling on the mother for a second opinion.
