Thanks for telling us Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg broke the news today.    He told reporters “….that most Facebook users should assume they have had their public info scraped“.

Frankly, I am not surprised.    I guess that most of us had to know that there was a little too much personal information in Facebook anyway.

The real story is twofold:   How much of that public info scraped ended up re-electing President Obama in 2012?     How many of those details about our “likes” and “friends” ended up connecting voters with the Obama campaign?

Down goes Gandhi Down goes Gandhi

leave a comment »

As you remember, it started with Confederate officers.    Then they went after Christopher Columbus.   Then they told us that George Washington & Thomas Jefferson were slave owners.

So it was only a matter time before we got to Mahatma Gandhi.

Over at Carleton University, the social justice warriors are now after Gandhi:

The accusations are many: That Gandhi slept naked next to young girls to test his sexual restraint; that he worked to prevent the untouchable caste from being recognized as a distinct political group; that he routinely referred to black Africans using the slur ‘ kaffir’ and demanded Indians in South Africa not be classed alongside natives.

I’ll just say this:   Will we have any statues left?

Of course, the solution to this, and so much more, is for the universities to tell the social justice warriors to shut up and do their homework.    Unfortunately, such school leadership is missing very badly these days.    It sure looks like the insane are running the asylum, or something like that.

Another city wants out of “Sanctuary state”

leave a comment »

It’s hard to be a sanctuary state when so many cities are looking for a way out.   The latest from California is that “….the city of Huntington Beach has jumped on the bandwagon.   The city council there has voted by a six to one….“.

It’s growing and more cities will look to jump ship!

A little history about NAFTA

leave a comment »

A little history about NAFTA………Remember when Senator Obama ran for President bashing NAFTA and calling for a renegotiation?    Remember when most Democrats voted against NAFTA?    Did anyone call them anti-Mexico?

The media have themselves to blame

leave a comment »

“Fake news” is killing the media’s credibility.   According to a Monmouth poll:

Large majorities of the American public believe that traditional media outlets engage in reporting fake news and that outside sources are actively trying to plant fake stories in the mainstream media.

When it comes to the meaning of “fake news,” a majority believe that it involves editorial decisions as well as inaccurate reporting.

This is terrible news for the news media services.

Frankly, the media can only blame itself, for three reasons:

First, they gave President Obama a free pass and never challenged a thing he said or did. After all, what other president would have gotten away with saying that he learned about “Fast & Furious” reading the morning newspaper? What about all the ObamaCare promises?

Second, the growing dependence on “leaks” has made a lot of front page stories worthless. Does anyone, other than people obsessed with hating Trump, believe any of these stories anymore? Just ask Brian Ross!

Third, the attacks on President Trump have backfired. Just check CNN’s ratings over the last year. Yesterday, Jim Acosta of CNN made a total partisan fool out of himself by yelling questions at the President during the egg hunt party at The White House.

Maybe news directors need to call a few urgent staff meetings. It’s time for reporters and news people to do a little soul searching.

Unfortunately for the media’s credibility, too many of us think that the media has an agenda rather than an honest desire to report the news!

Again, they did it to themselves.
