Happy # 70 to a great money player!

We all got to know Joe Rudi when the Oakland A’s won 3 straight World Series titles, 1972-74.    He made great catches and got big hits every time.

Rudi broke with the A’s in 1967.    He was one of the many young players that the A’s developed in the late 1960’s, from Reggie Jackson to Sal Bando to Jim Hunter.    It was one of the best farm systems in baseball history.

Overall, Joe Rudi hit .272 in 10 years with the A’s.    Just a great player!
